What I do

Governance that people can actually work with.

Most of my work sits where business rules, source systems and regulatory deadlines meet. These are the six things I'm usually brought in for.

Data quality controls

Rule repositories and validation frameworks that catch errors before they reach a report, or a regulator.

Root-cause investigation

Tracing exceptions back through source systems, transformations and loads until the real cause is found and fixed.

Metadata & lineage

Recording where data comes from, how it changes and who owns it, so people can trust what they are looking at.

Governance operating model

Intake processes, ownership and standards that teams adopt, including rolling out an Informatica-based governance model.

Regulatory reporting

Financial, tax and compliance data prepared for FCA submission, with checks timed around fixed deadlines.

Migration integrity

SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations with validation and reconciliation built in from the first load.

  1. Technical Consultant · Capgemini

    Mar 2025 – Present · Hyderabad, India

    Current

    Data governance and root-cause lead on a client-facing regulatory reporting programme covering financial, tax-related and compliance data from many source systems.

    • Primary point of contact for data governance and root-cause investigation. I diagnose data-quality exceptions and brief both engineers and compliance leads ahead of hard regulatory deadlines.
    • Built and maintain the data-quality rule repository and validation framework that catches reporting errors before FCA submission, reaching 90% accuracy, working with SMEs, developers and client stakeholders to close gaps.
    • Advise client stakeholders on governance practice and process improvement, and drove adoption of a new Informatica-based governance model across the reporting workstreams.
    • Contribute to metadata management, lineage and intake-process standardisation, and run stakeholder workshops that turn business needs into governance and process changes.
    • Manage several concurrent workstreams in Jira and Confluence, and contributed to AI and automation work that made reporting faster and cut manual effort.

  2. Associate Software Engineer · Accenture

    Aug 2023 – Mar 2025 · Pune, India

    End-to-end SAP ECC to S/4HANA data migration for a chemical-industry client across Finance and EHS.

    • Used SAP BODS for extraction, transformation and load, and BAPIs, IDocs, RFC, LTMC and LSMW for migration and integration, covering AP and AR open items, GL carve-out cases and EHS.
    • Defined business rules, data mappings and migration requirements with business users and functional teams.
    • Led defect management in Azure DevOps, triaging and classifying data defects. Testing and validation lifted data quality by 15% and brought timelines forward.
    • Trained and mentored teammates on SAP tools and migration processes, cutting dependency on external consultants by 20%, and supported users through validation, UAT and hypercare.
    • Recognised with Excellence Awards for SAP ABAP and data migration work on flagship “Diamond” projects.

    Mar 2023 – Jul 2023 · Hyderabad, India

    • Built AWS Lambda functions integrated with DynamoDB and S3, and automated deployments on AWS CodePipeline, cutting manual effort by 70%.
    • Monitored EC2 with Grafana and CloudWatch, and ran API testing through SAP Solution Manager integrated with Lambda.

DQ-01 Regulatory reporting Controlled

Catching reporting errors before the regulator does

Issue
Reports for FCA submission draw on financial, tax and compliance data from many source systems, and errors had to be caught before each fixed submission date.
Action
Built a data-quality rule repository and validation framework with SMEs, developers and client stakeholders, and made root-cause investigation part of the routine.
Impact
90% accuracy on checks run ahead of submission.
DQ-02 S/4HANA migration Resolved

The tax field nobody could load

Issue
A critical migration blocker on a tax-related field. Senior engineers had already tried the usual routes and given up.
Action
Researched alternative BAPI approaches independently, then worked them through with global SAP and ABAP teams.
Impact
A working fix where the existing approaches had failed.
DQ-03 Finance data Resolved

Finance values that changed after load

Issue
After go-live, S/4HANA was silently altering finance values once they had been loaded.
Action
Traced the change to system-level behaviour and put an interim workaround in place so the business could keep moving.
Impact
Drove the permanent fix with SAP.
DQ-04 Operating model Adopted

One governance model across many workstreams

Issue
Several regulatory reporting workstreams, each with its own habits for intake, metadata and ownership.
Action
Advised stakeholders on governance practice, standardised the intake process and kept business, governance and technical teams in step.
Impact
A new Informatica-based governance model adopted across the workstreams.
